Positive: Super property, it had everything you’d need for a stay in the region. Comfy beds, fans in all room (needed in the heatwave) great shower (hot water and powerful) Kitchen - well equipped for cooking. Lovely garden area for relaxing in - beautiful flowers and plants.

Positive: Very comfortable and well equipped - fans in lounge and both bedrooms! Located between shop and bakery owned by gite owners. Small garden to relax in. Several Champagne houses in the village, plus a Champagne bar. Close to Épernay.
Negative: Nothing. Everything fine.

Positive: We loved our stay at Le Fournil. The property itself was well equipped, with lots of kitchen equipment and comfortable furnishings. The property is situated back from the road in a kind of courtyard with some other buildings and some of the bakery buildings, as well as a small garden. Chouilly is a sweet village and the local champagne bar was fantastic as recommended by the owner, and the bakery next door for fresh pastries in the morning. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, welcoming our young daughter and us, always with a cheery smile. Thank you!

Positive: The property is situated in the middle of village surrounded by vineyards and small family run Champagne Maisons. It has lovely village vibe and small garden full of various flowers with a lovely outdoor seating area. It has all amenities you can wish for including board games and essential equipment for children. Have to mention perfectly equipped kitchen with plenty of champagne coups from which you can enjoy locally sourced bottles of champagne.
Summary: I would higly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy a quiet stay and suck up local atmosphere with and scenic walks in

Positive: Le Fournil is tucked away in a courtyard, behind solid wooden gates, so there is no passing traffic or pedestrians, certainly no noise, and complete privacy. The hosts have made the courtyard very pretty with tubs of flowers everywhere, and there is a small lawned area, where we sat out and sampled some of the champagne we had bought in the vineyards all around the village and further afield. Everything in the accommodation was exceptionally clean and in tip top condition, and there was everything one could possibly want for a comfortable stay. The hosts run the village boulangerie, just a few steps away, so it was perfect for buying breakfast croissants and baguettes. They also run a charming little wine tasting facility in the village, featuring wines from the village vineyards. The location is perfect for touring the vineyards and visiting the great champagne houses; Epernay is just a few kilometres away, and Reims is within easy reach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we shall most definitely be returning.
